Medical tourism is gaining popularity as people discover that high quality healthcare is available abroad for significantly less than the cost in the United States. While U.S. based health plans and self-insured employers are considering the addition of international providers to their networks, overseas providers and governments are looking at medical tourism as big business.
The Thailand Medical Tourism and Healthcare Trade Fair brings together executives from insurance companies and health plans, government officials, hospital representatives, medical school administrators, and individuals interested in medical tourism to discuss the benefits, quality, cost-effectiveness, practicality, and feasibility of overseas healthcare.
